Full Membership of The Chef’s Forum

Row & Sons are delighted to announce that we are now a fully-fledged member of the Chef’s Forum.

The Chef’s forum was born out of a desire to make a positive change in the hospitality industry. They work to connect Chefs with education, suppliers with Chefs and education with suppliers to help the industry unite. They work towards the shared goal of showcasing the incredible talent in the industry.

Joining the Forum

During Hotelympia 2016, Row & Sons were approached by a very talented young chef, Abbie Hookins. She wanted to borrow some of the serving boards for use during competitions that take place at the exhibition. We were delighted to help Abbie and thrilled that she won her category. As a student chef, Abbie is supported by the Forum to develop her skills.

Alexandra Duncan who heads up the Forum invited Row & Sons to become a partner. She believes that Row & Sons products could provide chefs with high quality bespoke back of house and front of house solutions.

Trade Shows

As a member of the London Forum, headed up by Chefs, Arthur Potts Dawson, Allan Pickett and Geoff Booth & Gary Hunter (Westminster Kingsway College) Row & Sons attend and exhibit at the tradeshows. There are four events every year in each location. The last two in London took place at One Aldwych and The Yacht.

From February 2017, Row & Sons will also be a partner to the Midlands Forum’s, dates are yet to be announced.

Chef’s demonstrate their skills during these events using Row & Sons cutting boards to prepare, and canape serving boards to present their delicious food. Martyn Watkins, Executive Chef at The St David’s Hotel in Cardiff said he would happily use the canapé boards again advocating that they were “great quality, light weight with a good finish to the board”.

Along with promoting each Partner’s offering, the trade shows bring together chefs, suppliers and students to collaborate and share industry knowledge.

The Chef’s Forum encourages partners to invite their customers to come along to the events and see what they are all about. If you would like to attend the next event, either in the Midlands or in London, please email our Marketing Coordinator she will provide you with details of the event.
